Essential Functions:
- Performs basic electrical functions such as replacing wiring devices (switches, outlets, breakers and fixtures)
- Trouble shoots electrical circuits.
- Performs test on emergency generator.
- Maintains documentation pertinent to electrical distribution system.
- Maintains environmental control.
- Checks and maintains AC units and ventilation systems.
- Checks and maintains heating boiler.
- Repairs and maintains components on plumbing fixtures.
- Maintains inspections current on domestic and fire water backflows.
- Repairs and maintains waste lines.
- Assures that the grounds are safe, accessible and landscaped.
- Provide signage in building and on grounds.
- Makes inspections of building and grounds for code compliance.
- Maintains key control of facility doors and locks.
- Maintains fire alarm system and emergency lighting.
- Maintains fire extinguishers.
- Moves equipment and furniture as needed.
- Responds to and or covers for House-Keeping duties when needed.
- Respond to after hour emergencies at all clinical sites.
- Ensures all facilities are in compliance with local, State, and Federal rules and regulations to include, regulatory agencies such as, OSHA, Joint Commission, Fire Marshalls office and others.
- Communicates and demonstrates the mission, ethics and goals of the facility.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities:
- General knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, electrical and general maintenance procedures.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and operations, 1 to 3 years’ experience required.
- Knowledge of building automation systems, 1 to 3 years’ experience required.
- Ability to troubleshoot, modify, and maintain maintenance systems and equipment, 1 to 3 years’ experience required.
- Knowledge of OSHA, Joint Commission, Fire Marshall and other regulatory agency safety requirements.
- Maintains certification requirements for OSHA, Joint Commission and other regulatory safety requirements.
- Organizational/planning skills.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
MinimumQualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Facilities maintenance experience required, healthcare maintenance preferred.
- Acceptable driving record and valid driver's license. Must maintain proper insurance to drive in the State of Texas.
- Related trade (HVAC-Refrigeration) school certification preferred.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
