Support Us
The Centro San Vicente (CSV) community health clinic provides a critical lifeline for the needs of El Paso’s neediest families and children. More than one-third of El Paso residents have no health insurance.
Our patients are local members of the community, raising families in an increasingly expensive health care environment. Sixty-eight percent of our patients are uninsured and 91% live in poverty. Many of our patients are employed, but do not receive health insurance coverage from their employers and can’t afford to purchase their own coverage. With health care costs climbing rapidly, many are forced to put off treatment because they can’t afford it, and may end up in the ER with serious conditions. This costs health systems and taxpayers millions of dollars every year and affects all of us. Without CSV, our patients would not be able to visit their doctor for regular checkups.
By providing patients with deeply discounted, affordable health care, CSV plays an important role in improving community health in the region, resulting in a better quality of life and greater utilization of primary healthcare services.

Centro San Vicente receives only 63% of its funding from sliding fee scale payments and public and private insurance. This means each year 37% of our funding comes from concerned citizens and philanthropies.
Your support directly benefits our patients – one-quarter of whom are children – by:
- Attracting the best medical providers
- Keeping us up-to-date with the latest in medical technology
- Covering the costs of health care for indigent patients
